Poclain’s governance is the organization and the rules set up to run the company. The governance ensures to the company stakeholders (customers, management, employees, shareholders, suppliers, bankers, local communities, and educational institutions) that their interests are satisfied and that the requirements of the legal and regulatory environment are met. The rules of governance and management (responsibilities, delegations, decision-making, communication, supervision, audits…) help control the risks associated with the work performed anywhere within the company.
Laurent BATAILLE joined Poclain Hydraulics in 1985 after several years in Irak for the construction group Dumez, at the time when his father Pierre BATAILLE took over the company.
He became General Manager in 1992, then Chairman of the Board and CEO in 2002 and successfully conducted the Group to where it is today.
A graduated engineer from the French construction engineering school ESTP as well as from Columbia University, he devotes part of his time in high-level engagements within professional organizations such as FIM (Federation of Mechanical Industries), UIMM (French Management Leader Association), UTC (Technical University of Compiegne, France) and EDC (Enterpreneur Association).
Graduated from Sciences Po Paris and INSEAD, Frederic MICHELLAND began his career in 1989 in the banking sector in France and abroad. After several financial functions at GDF Suez, he joined Nexans as Group Chief Financial Officer, Purchasing and Information Systems. Afterwards, he occupied the operational functions of Director of the Americas area and then of the worldwide Major Projects activity.
In 2013, he took over the General Management of Latecoere Group, specialized in the design and manufacture of aeronautical components, for which he managed an operational and financial recovery before relaunching its development with the Transform 2020 Plan. Over the two last years, he held the position of Vice-President of Business Development for Europe at the American aeronautical supplier Spirit Aerosystems.
Pascal BARTEK joined the French manufacturing plant of Poclain Hydraulics in 2001, after several years in various logistics positions held within a German automotive supplier.
Since 2006, he has set up and managed the Group Supply Chain, organizing flows and inventories within the worldwide network of 8 manufacturing plants of Poclain Hydraulics and its related vendors.
He recently sponsored with success the implementation of our new eBusiness-Suite ERP on all industrial sites, part of our SI+ program, for all Supply Chain, Planning, Sourcing and Manufacturing aspects. Pascal is graduated from Pierre et Marie Curie University in Paris, with a major in mechanical technology and production engineering.
Thierry CHOQUET joined Poclain in 2012 and took over responsibility for the Group Quality Department.
After a first quality improvement plan named “Quality Excellence Plan”, he launched the “Poclain Excellence System” in 2017.
He previously occupied different functions in the automotive production and supply, product development and in quality management and production.
As a CNAM and IFOCA engineer, he is a graduate in Plastic, Rubber Technologies and Chemistry.
Operational Excellence and Quality improvements are his main daily motivation.
Olivier DION, a graduated mechanical engineer from Arts & Métiers, joined Poclain Hydraulics in 2001, after several years of experience in the automotive sector, in France and abroad, within Faurecia, General Motors, Valeo and Johnson Controls.
He built his expertise through the turnaround and start-up of manufacturing production sites, for various components such as mufflers, automatic shifting units, pumps, radiators and door panels.
After 4 years as a Group Industrial Manager, he became Quality Director, then Industrial Director for Pumps and Valves and is now Director of all our Industrial Operations since 2010.
Alain EVERBECQ arrived in Poclain Hydraulics in 2003 as a Director of Human Resources and Health and Safety matters for the group.
Graduated from Sciences-Po Paris (School of Political Sciences) and from Paris-Dauphine University, he has held various positions linked to Human Resources during more than 20 years in the industry, in particular within automotive suppliers such as Labinal (Valeo) and Carnaud Metal Box.
He brings to all divisions of Poclain group his expertise in management and in social and international relationships among the industrial world.
Bertrand GAYDON joined Poclain Hydraulics in 2006, after more than 15 years at the steel manufacturer Usinor, then Arcelor, where he held several positions in production, quality and sales in several countries in Europe, North and South America.
Initially sales manager Asia-Pacific, he was appointed Director Asia-Pacific in 2010 and is based in Shanghai. He is in charge of sales in China, Japan, South Korea, ASEAN countries, Australia, New-Zealand ; the Shanghai plant is also under his supervision.
A graduated engineer from Ecole Centrale de Paris, he brings to the group an in-depth knowledge of foreign cultures on all continents.
Denis GREDER is responsible for the Group Sales since January 2007 and coordinates the sales activities of our 20 sales business units around the world as well as transverse sales management for global accounts and commercial truck business. He also manages the Group‘s after-sales and application engineering support.
Following positions in sales and marketing at Copeland Corp (Emerson Electric Group) in Germany and Belgium, Denis GREDER joined Poclain Hydraulics in 1998 as Manager for Distributors and Direct Accounts.
He then moved on in 2001 to Global Accounts Manager and in 2004 to North Europe Area Sales Manager. He earned an MBA degree from ESSEC (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales), France.
Alain LEPRINCE took over the management in 1998 of the European sales organization, then of the Group Sales of Poclain Hydraulics a year after .
Becoming Company Secretary in 2006, he since then contributes to the extended implementation of a structured governance of the company, on the Corporate as well as on the operational side, to accompany the growth.
A graduated engineer from the French mechanical engineering school Ecole Centrale de Paris and with a Master in Finance from HEC Business School, he developed his career within family businesses offering high-value added products or services on global markets (ao. China, Finland, Jordan, USA).
Stéphane RAKOTOARIVELO joined Poclain Hydraulics in January 2012 after more than 12 years in various R&D and Marketing positions within a large Swedish corporation, in France, UK, USA and Sweden.
Since his arrival in the group, he devotes his time in the strategy and its deployment, as well as all the aspects of R&D, marketing and innovation in products and systems.
With Masters from the Ecole Centrale de Nantes and IFL Stockholm School of Economics, he also coaches the company along its strategy-building process, to strengthen its growth and profitability within an ever-more competitive environment.
Markus Rauchhaus joined Poclain in 2013 with more than twenty years of experience managing companies in the automotive, machinery, consumer products, and lifting equipment industries. His experience includes working in diverse geographical areas, such as the Americas, Asia and Europe.
With a Master in Mechanical Engineering and a Certification in Business Management, Markus Rauchhaus provides expertise in business development, improving company results, and in launching and driving new activities worldwide.
As Director for the North America Region, Markus is based in Sturtevant, WI. He is in charge of all operations as well as commercial aspects for the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
